    Stolen property: Zesa employee arrested at Mpandawana

    GUTU - Wiseman Gwendere (33) an employee with Zesa has been arrested for allegedly stealing from his employers and he appeared before Gutu resident magistrate Victor Mohamadi last week.
    Gwendere was allegedly found with two 100Amp breakers, four  pg clamps, one pole washer, four breaker screws, one insulation tape, three line tapes, four 20mm by 240mm bolts and nuts, one by 3.5 meter airdek cable and one five meter  armoured cable in his car when the Police nabbed him.
    Gwendere is being represented by Omen Mafa of Mutendi, Mudisi and Shunba Legal Practitioners.
    It is the State case that on February 7, 2019 Constable Tafadzwa Marandu, Constable Kabayadondo and Constable Chiwanza were on patrol at Mpandawana when they received information that Gwendere who  had knocked off and was on his way home had in his car ZETDC property.
    Gwendere said he took five meter armoured cable to attend a fault in Munhende location.
    Joseph Nekati the loss control assistant said that Gwendere was in unlawfully possession of the property.
    The matter will be heard on April 24 for continuation of trial.
