Gweru City council clinics now accept medical aid

GWERU – Gweru City Council clinics have with effect from April 1, started accepting medical aid cards for the payment  of medical services, Mayor Josiah Makombe has said.
He was speaking at the council’s recent full council meeting held at the Mayor’s chambers at Town House.
“With effect from April 1, 2019, all council clinics will be accepting patients with medical aid cards as long as they are valid.
“Council has realised that many residents are not accessing health care at our local institutions because they do not have cash up front. Councillors have therefore made a resolution for clinics to accept valid medical aid cards,” said Makombe.
Council has five clinics doted in different suburbs.
