    Dawn of an era: Bere Chieftanship restored after 94 years

    MASVINGO RURAL – The Bere Chieftainship lost 94 years ago in 1925 because of colonialism has been restored.
    The curtain opened on the revived chieftanship with the installation of Phinias Bere (83) at a function held at Bere High School in Mashava on Tuesday.
    The Bere Chieftainship becomes one of the major chieftainships in Masvingo Province covering seven wards in Masvingo Rural District namely; Zvinyanigwe Ward 4, Bere location Ward 5, Samaton area Ward 6, Buka and grange farms Ward 7, Mukonde Ward 10, Kingmine Ward 33 and Ward 9.
    The installation of Bere was done by the Minister of State for Masvingo Province, Ezra Chadzamira.
