    Harkie Matiza is no more

    MASVINGO – Prominent Masvingo businessman, Harkie Matiza (64) is no more.
    He died at The Royal Women’s Clinic in Bulawayo on Thursday last week after being diagnosed with cancer of the foot in June last year. His daughter Mwaiti Matiza confirmed the sad news.
    He was buried at his homestead in Birchenough Bridge, Manicaland on Saturday last week.
    Matiza owned a number of properties in Masvingo including the
    Mat Complex along Hofmeyer Street near Landmark Bar.
    “Our father was a motivator, he taught us hardwork, he was humble, a unifier and he spread the word of love among family members”, said Mwaiti.
    The funeral was attended by former acting Provincial Education Director, Sylvester Tererai, Zimbabwe Open University Regional Director Professor Alexander Chabaya and Former MP for Gutu, Ransom Makamure.
    Matiza is survived by his wife Lillian Matiza, 5 children and 6 grandchildren.
