    KCI Microfinance officers in court for fraud

    CHIREDZI – Two KCI Microfinance loan officers have appeared in court facing nine counts of fraud, theft and forgery.
    They allegedly made misrepresentations to the company, forged clients` signatures and prejudiced their employer of $400.
    Leonard Musekwa (25) and Witness Muneri (25) who are both from Tshovani Township in Chiredzi appeared before Chiredzi Magistrate Geraldine Mutsoto facing 9 counts; four of fraud, two of theft and three of forgery.
    It is the State case that from November 22, 2018 and at KCI Microfinance in Chiredzi, Musekwa and Muneri made various misrepresentations to Liberty Mukungwa the company`s credit controller that there were people who had applied for loans. They forged usual customers` signatures and they continued to do so until January 28, 2019.
    Magistrate Mutsoto remanded the two in custody.
    Racheal Murape prosecuted.
