Chiredzi Primary School emerged the best school in Chiredzi District in Grade 7 2017 Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council (ZIMSEC) examination results, boasting 100 % pass rate.
With a total of 89 candidates under the tutelage of two teachers Robert Masukuma and Nyaradzo Mangove, 54 of them scored between 5-10 units and six candidates scored 5 units.
Headmistress Sharai Musakanda who joined the institution in 2016 applauded the staff, indicating that the impressive result was a fruit of team effort and coherence.
“It is really a pleasure to have our school emerging the best in Chiredzi District after scoring a remarkable 100% pass rate. There was a lot of hard work by the teachers, parents, children and other members of the staff and this puts our school`s name on the lime light.
“We are also hoping to score the same result and maintain our standards for the betterment of both the parents and pupils,” said Musakanda.
Since 2014, it is undisputed to rate Chiredzi Primary School as one of the best schools in Chiredzi basing on the fact that the school has never scored a pass rate percentage below 90.
This year, 91 students (47 boys and 44 girls) are expected to seat for the examinations at Chiredzi Primary with the aim of replicating the same pass rate.
