    Selukwe tops Grade 7 results

    SHURUGWI - Selukwe Primary School has topped the 2018 Zimsec Grade 7 results in Shurugwi District with a 99% pass rate, six pupils with 5 units and five pupils with 6 units.
    Selukwe head Venekai Madzokere said she was happy with the achievement which is a new record for the school.
    “Our children did very well in the exams and this has helped us maintain our dominance in the district. We have six pupils with 5 units, five pupils with 6 units including our head boy and headgirl, eight pupils with 7 units and 13 pupils with 8 units. Our children have set the bar high that will be hard to beat come next year,” said Madzokere.
    She said that the teaching staff worked hard to ensure that the pupils passed and maintained the school’s standards. Last year Selukwe had one pupil with 5 units, one pupil with 6 units, six pupils with 7 units and nine pupils with 8 units.
    Pupils with 5 units are Anna Vongai, Priscilla Mhoshiwa, Vimbainashe Mashonganyika, Rabbia Mukokeza, Tafadzwa Gama and Hazel Phiri.
    Pupils with 6 units are Nicole Muzira (head girl), Lyke Mugoregwa (head boy), Princess Denhe, Tanatswa Musharu, Rachel Connick,
    Teachers who got 100% pass rate in all subjects are Mahuni Erasmas, Joyful Mudzengi and Sam Elephant recorded 100% pass rate in all subjects except Shona where he recorded 93% which as a result of a pupil who had a Ndebele background.
