When contacted for a comment the father, Fradrick Machinya, a businessman at Mpandawana in Gutu was full of praise for the teachers and the school authorities for the good environment which is conducive for students to excel.
He also paid tribute to his primary school teachers especially J Mharadza who took him in grade 6 and 7 where he obtained 7 Units.
The 19 year old attributed his success to the gruelling study time table that the school strictly follows.
“The study time was very helpful to me considering the number of subjects I was taking which needed a lot of time,” said Machinya who was all smiles during the interview.
He said on Saturdays they would study from 10am to 12pm, 2pm to 4pm, 6pm to 8pm and 830pm to 10pm.
From Monday to Friday they studied in the evening from 6pm to 8pm and then 830pm to 10pm.
The second born in a family of one girl and four boys said he wants to study actuarial science preferably abroad where the environment is most favourable and he is appealing for a scholarship to pursue his dream.
