    Chivi Magistrate promoted


    CHIVI-Chivi Resident Magistrate, Bishard Chineka has been promoted and will be stationed at Chipinge as a Regional Magistrate with effect from July 1 although he will assume duty at his new posting on July 11 after hand over and takeover procedures, The Mirror can reveal.
    Although Judicial Service Commission acting deputy secretary Munamato Mutevedzi did not disclose the names of the 10 promoted magistrates he confirmed through an email that indeed there were promotions made last week after the June 19 interviews where 37 magistrates participated.
    Chineka is one of the 10 successful candidates from those who were interviewed for the posts of regional magistrates.
    Chineka has been the Resident Magistrate at Chivi since in 2015 following the transfer of Francis Mapfumo from Chivi to Harare.
    In Gweru Phatekile Msipa has also been promoted from a provincial to regional magistrate at the same station with effect from July 1 as well as Sobonginkosi Mkandla who has been posted to Bulawayo from Masvingo.
    Meanwhile, the JSC in June also invited applicants for 60 magistrates’ vacant posts and those who were successful are undergoing induction training for the next seven days because they are joining JSC for the first time.
    Nine of those will be deployed in Manicaland Province, eight in the Midlands, seven in Masvingo and Mat South respectively, six in Mash Central, three for Harare and Mat North will have seven
