    New head for Pamushana appointed

    BIKITA – Pamushana High, one of the leading secondary schools in Masvingo Province has appointed Raymond Ndega as its substantive head.
    Ndega was the substantive head at Alheit High, another Reformed Church in Zimbabwe -run school for just one term in 2018. Before that Ndega was the substantive deputy head at Chibi High School. His appointment is with effect from January 1, 2019.
    Ndega replaces Johnson Madhuku who has since been elected Bikita East MP on a Zanu PF ticket. Madhuku headed the school for 21 years.
    Ndega’s appointment was made by the RCZ as the responsible authority. Pamushana High School Station Superintended Reverend Munenerwa confirmed the development.
    “We now have a new substantive head appointed by the Church Council. He also at one time headed Alheit High in Gutu,” said Munenerwa.
    Ndega trained at Mutare Teachers’ College in 1994. He is a holder of Bachelor of Arts English degree from Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) in 2006 and MED English from Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) in 2017.
    He started his career as a temporary teacher at Zimbizi and Rufaro Secondary Schools in Gutu. After training at Mutare, he taught at Chiwara Secondary School in Gutu for 18 years and worked his way up the ladder to acting head between 2009 and 2013.
    He was promoted substantive deputy headmaster at Chibi High in 2013. He was appointed substantive head in August 2018 and he headed Alheit High in Gutu from September to December 2018 and moved to Pamushana High in January 2019.
    Pamushana’s substantive deputy head Emmanuel Zingoni was the acting head from September to December 2018.
    Ndega said he was happy with his promotion which is part of professional growth.
    “I am delighted with the promotion, I appreciate that there are challenges associated with the new responsibility but that is part of professional growth. I know there will be support from all stakeholders and failure is not an option,” he said.
    Ndega is married to Joselyn Ndega and they are blessed with four children namely Farirai, Fadzai, Tariro and Tafadzwa.
