    Mirror bureau chief’s mother dies

    MASVINGO RURAL - Chengeto Bishi (75), mother to Morris Bishi, the Mirror Bureau Chief for Chiredzi is no more.
    Mbuya Bishi died at Makurira Clinic in Masvingo on Sunday after a short illness. She was buried at her plot, 27km from Masvingo in Wendedzo in Masvingo North on Tuesday.
    She was a devout Christian and attended the African Apostolic Church known as (Africa Yedu). She was born on the April 6 in 1942.
    Mbuya Bishi is mother to nine children; one girl and eight boys and is survived by 26 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
    When interviewed for comment her eighth son Morris said the family had lost a pillar.
    “Our mother was admitted at Makurira Memorial Clinic on Friday after a short illness. We were planning to transfer her to Harare for specialist treatment but unfortunately she died on the day.
    “We have lost a heroine, she inspired us, she was our pillar of strength since our father died in 2004,” said Morris who is the eighth child.
    Nyaradzo Magaya Mugwachure, a granddaughter described her grandmother as a kind and loving person. She said all her grand children found a pillar of life in Mbuya Bishi.
