    Hubby fined $300 for breaking Zvish businesswoman's phone

    ZVISHAVANE – The husband of Sylivia Choruhwa (41), a top businesswoman in Zvishavane has been fined $300 or 30 years imprisonment for smashing his wife’s phone.
    The incident happened when the couple who stays in Eastlea had at quarrel at home.
    Choruhwa who is popularly known as Mai Isheanopa and runs a number of shops in town reported her husband Never Makwinja (39) for assault and breaking her phone. She also broke down in court and cried when she narrated how her husband had lost sexual feelings for her.
    She said that her husband assaulted her each time she asks for sex.
    Choruhwa told the court that her husband assaulted her on October 19, 2018 just after their arrival in Zimbabwe from a wedding in Namibia. She said she asked for sex from Makwinja and he refused. They quarrelled before he assaulted her.
    It is in the State case that on October 18, 2018 Choruhwa was with her husband and she woke up so that she could make love to Makwinja but the latter told his wife that he was no longer interested in making love to her.
    He reiterated that he had lost all sexual feelings for her.
    Makwinji then assaulted the complainant and threatened to kill her.
    Choruhwa told the court that she still love Makwinji despite all the disputes and she still wants to have sex with him as husband and wife.
    Makwinja was cleared of the assault charges but was found guilty of breaking the wife's phone.
    The matter was heard by Magistrate Archy Wochiunga.
