    Profmed opens branch in Gweru


    GWERU- Upcoming medical equipment and consumables suppliers, Profmed has opened a branch in Gweru, Takudzwa Mureriwa has confirmed.
    “We opened another branch in Gweru at the Zimpost Building after demand for our products increased therefore, we felt Gweru was more central for our customers especially schools and hospitals in Matebeleland and the Midlands provinces,” said Mureriwa.
    Profmed which was established in 2017 is headquartered in Masvingo at the Zimpost Building as well and the Gweru branch is the second one for the company which specialises in supplying medical consumables to schools, clinics, hospitals and surgeries mainly in the southern region of the country.
    The company procure equipment from South Korea, India and South Africa, but availability of foreign currency is hampering their business.
    “We are having challenges in getting forex as a result some orders take time to be delivered. The market for our products is there we are quite happy because we supply quality products leaving our customers happy and wanting to continue doing business with us,” said Mureriwa.
    Mureriwa holds a degree in accounting from NUST and a Masters in Accounting from MSU as well as ACCA.
    He is the second in a family of two boys and one girl and he is not married.
