Shurugwi rival suitors torch sex worker’s house

SHURUGWI – Three Shurugwi rival  suitors who were allegedly offended by the fact that they were seeing one woman who they each treated as a wife appeared in court for setting the latter’s house on fire.
All the three are from Chachacha and they destroyed property worth $300 in the process. The woman was at a local night club when her house was torched.
Cloud Muringwa appeared before Shurugwi Resident Magistrate Sangster Tavengwa facing charges of unlawful entry and malicious damage to property and was sentenced to nine months in prison and four were suspended on condition that he pays back the $300.
Muringwa told the court that the three discovered that they were all ‘married’ to Patience Mushipe while drinking beer at a local bar. They decided to confront her over the matter. Unfortunately they didn’t find her at home and then decided to burn her house.
The incident happened on October 28, 2018 at around 830pm and Muringwa’s suspected accomplices are Josphat Munyimani and Lloyd Mhuri who are still at large. The property burnt in the fire include four comforters, one blanket, one sheet, two pillows, one baby blanket, one base bed and one curtain.
    Dianah Bindu prosecuted.
