Mvuma cop gets $26 after paying maintenance

MVUMA - A Police officer from Mvuma went on his knees at the Mvuma Magistrates Court pleading for the waiver of his maintenance as he is only left with $26 on his payslip after paying maintenance.
Handisemi Maribha revealed his situation after his estranged ex-wife Nokuthula Chihata demanded $200 for the upkeep of their two children.
Maribha however told the court that he had only $85 left from his gross salary of $630 after deductions for loans he took from three different financial institutions.
“I took loans from three separate companies and I am only left with $86 on my payslip therefore I cannot afford $200,” he pleaded with the court.
Magistrate Tafadzwa Mhlanga ordered Maribha to pay $60 maintenance by consent for the upkeep of the two minor children.
Maribha was also ordered to pay an upward variation of $100 for the same maintenance case from December 2018 when one of the three loan deductions lapses.
