    Bricklayer in court for stealing Buchwa Mine water pipes

    MBERENGWA - A man from Sunduza Village under Chief Mataruse in Mbererengwa has pleaded guilty to stealing steel water pipes from a Buchwa Mine water tank.
    The State said that on October 29, 2018 Musina Shumba stole water pipes measuring 6 meters by 50mm each from Buchwa Mine. Police was tipped that Shumba was seen carrying some pipes near his homestead.
    Shumba was interrogated and he admitted that he disconnected three steel pipes from Buchwa water tank and the value of the pipes is $627.
    Shumba told the court that he stole the pipes from Buchwa because he didn’t have money to buy poles for roofing a house that he was building.
    The matter was heard by Zvishavane Magistrate, Shepherd Munjanja.
    Munjanja postponed the matter to November 23.
