    MIRROR REPORTER

MASVINGO – Former Minister of State for Masvingo, Kudakwashe Bhasikiti is battling to recover farm equipment attached for a $133 000 power debt which he owes to the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC).
ZETDC which is represented by Knowledge Mabvure of Chihambakwe Law Chambers got a High Court order to attach property at Bhasikiti’s Moria Farm in Mwenezi  on January 17, 2018. The court order was obtained after Bhasikiti failed to pay the debt which has been running since July 1, 2017 to date.
However, Aleck Murefu who claims to be one of the partners at the farm has appealed to the High Court for the release of some of the attached property which he says is jointly owned and therefore cannot be auctioned alongside Bhasikiti’s property.
Among the attached property are a tractor, irrigation pipes, fertiliser bags, dam scooper and electric motors.
The case is before Justice Mawadze .at Masvingo High Court.
