    Notorious Bahadur centre thief arrested

    GWERU – A 19 –year-old Gweru teenager who was causing havoc at the famous Bahadur centre in Gweru, breaking and stealing from shops has been arrested.
    Anesu Blessed Tuto (19) of Shamrock Park, Gweru was arrested and brought to court facing several counts of unlawful entry and theft.
    He on three different occasions broke into shop number 16 and stole cellphones belonging to Grace Mabonga of Claremont Park Extension, Christopher Mutimba (23) of Athlone and Victor Gonye of Mkoba 5, Gweru
    It is the State case that on September 22, 2018 at around 2am the accused went to shop number 16 Bahadur Centre, Gweru and used a claw hammer and a screw driver to remove the putty on the window pane.
    He removed the window and gained entry into the shop and stole cell phones and electronic gadgets worth $980.
    On October 6, 2018, the accused went to the same shop and used the same method to gain entry and again he stole the new order the complainants had brought to the shop.
    The third time accused did his same move but this time he was spotted by a guard who alerted the Police leading to his arrest.
    The accused appeared before Magistrate PathekileMsipa and was convicted and sentenced to three and half years in prison.
