MASVINGO - Two teachers employed by former councillor  Lovemore Mufamba at his Fernvalley Academy in Victoria Ranch in Masvingo have been arrested again for failing to pay their debts at Topics Store.
The two were jailed for 60 days each at Mutimurefu early this month after they failed to pay their debts at Truworths. They were only released from prison after relatives came to their rescue and paid part of the money.
Rejoice Hove owes Topics $6 200 and Nyasha Ndanga has a debt of $186  since 2014 and they appeared before Magistrate Purity Gumbo.
The teachers said that they were not paying their debts because their employer Mufamba who owns Fernvalley Academy is not paying their salaries.
Topics were represented by Phineas Rupiya an employee at Topics.
Magistrate Gumbo sentenced Hove to 30 days imprisonment if she fails to pay the debt according to the payment plan agreed. She will be jailed if she defaults.
Rupiya also told the court that Ndanga had already paid her debt.
Mufamba had at one time pledged to pay the debt so that his employees are not jailed but this has not happened.
