    Guard at N.Richards uses wife for shoplifting

    MASVINGO - A security guard entrusted with checking goods and receipts leaving the wholesale shop has been dragged to court after he allegedly used his wife to shoplift goods from the shop.
    Moses Mashingaidze (38), a guard at N.Richards Cash and Carry and his wife Edith Richard (28) appeared before Magistrate Peter Madhibha on Monday facing theft charges after allegedly making it out of the shop with goods worth $93,07.
    Both Mashingaidze and Richard reside in Mucheke.
    It is in the State case that on September 22, 2018 at around 1130am, Richard entered N.Richards and took various goods and she only paid goods valued at $4,41.
    Richard loaded the grocery into a trolley and proceeded to Mashingaidze who was on duty at the exit check point.
    Mashingaidze then checked the receipt and the grocery and confirmed it and left with the grocery.
    Oliver Zingoni an employee at Fawcette Masvingo was monitoring both Richard and Mashingaidze and followed Richard who was already out of the shop and checked the receipt leading to the arrest of the couple.
    Total value of stolen goods is $93, 07and everything was recovered.
