    Beitbridge Hosp sister in-charge cleared

BEITBRIDGE - Beitbridge District Hospital Sister-In Charge Senzeni Klaasen who was accused of making tribal attacks on the Venda people for voting in a Zanu PF MP has been cleared of charges brought against her and reinstated.
Her employers gave her an offer to transfer from Beitbridge Hospital if she wants to as she had received death threats over the matter.
Klaasen who is accused of making an audio tape that went viral on social media is alleged to have denigrated the Venda as people of a lower IQ. She also allegedly described the Venda as lazy people who are dependent on the Shona for the development of their area.
The Provincial Medical Director (PMD) for Mat South Province, Rudo Chikodzore however, lifted Klaasen’s suspension of August 3, 2018 after finding her innocent. The audio also went viral in the South African towns of Musina and Polokwane which are predominantly Venda. The letter lifting her suspension with effect from September 26 is in the hands of Two Nations.
“You are hereby notified that your suspension from service dated 3 August, 2018 is hereby lifted with immediate effect, in accordance with section 49(2)(b) (i) you are therefore advised to assume duty at Beitbridge District Hospital  with effect from 26 September 2018.This follows the investigation that was held on 9 August wherein the committee did not find you guilty of any offence,” says the letter from the PMD.
“Taking into account the fact that in the letter from your legal practitioners, you indicated that you have received some death threats from unknown people, presumably from Beitbridge, you are advised that you may apply for a transfer to a place of your choice if you so wish,”
