    Justice Mawadze holds Mass for late wife

    MVUMA - Masvingo High Court Judge, Justice Mawadze has held a memorial service for his late wife Locadia Matenher- Mawadze who died in a road accident last year.
    The service was held at the family farm in Central Estates in Mvuma at the weekend.
    The service was conducted by Roman Catholic's Father Mavhiya who is the Priest-in-charge at St Theresa in Mvuma. Also in attendance were Gweru Diocese Vicar General, Father Chirikadzi and Father Calisto Matibiri who is based at Chishawasha Major Serminary. 
    The programme included speeches, Mass service and a visit to the grave.
    The late Mawadze, her sister-in-law Shamiso Matenhere and driver Threetimes Mudziviri lost their lives about 10km from Mvuma when the latter failed to control an Isuzu Twin Cab he was driving from Gutu after overtaking a haulage truck.
     "We are having this Mass in remembrance of the late Mai Mawadze. This Mass is to mark her first anniversary," said Justice Mawadze. 
    Justice Mawadze thanked relatives, friends and the Church for the immense support they rendered his family during the time of grief. Many people travelled from Masvingo, Harare, Gutu and Gweru for the event.
    The late Mawadze is survived by her husband and two children.
