    Chaswingo and Luthumba Primary pupils for COSSASA games

    BEITBRIDGE-Tafadzwa Karyline Baloyi of Chaswingo Primary and James Ndlovu of Luthumba Primary school from Beitbridge have been selected to represent the country at the forthcoming Confederation of Schools Sports Association of Southern Africa (COSSASA) games to be held in Namibia from August 20- 29 this year.
    This was confirmed by Lwaano Godfrey Nyoni, the Chaswingo School head, who said Baloyi and Ndlovu who are both doing grade seven and play volleyball and soccer respectively were selected during the national finals and will be in camp at Northlea High School in Bulawayo from August 12 to 20.
    However, Nyoni is appealing to well-wishers to assist Baloyi with $200 to get an emergency passport to travel to Namibia for the games.
     "She is exceptionally good in volleyball, she started playing when she was in grade four, in-fact she is a promising sports person. She is also good in drama and she is a member of the school quiz team which came first last year in the district competitions. We are appealing to well -wishers to assist her with $200 to get an emergency passport to go to Namibia for the COSSASA games and those willing to assist can contact me on 0778 834941,' he said.
    Seventh Day Adventist- run Luthumba head Leornard Pepukai said Ndlovu who is an orphan staying with his maternal grandmother is a talented soccer player and last year he played at the national finals held in Marondera.
