Mohadi summons Tongaat over their challenges

CHIREDZI – Vice President Kembo Mohadi has summoned Tongaat Hulett Director Sydney Mutsambiwa to his offices to hear the challenges being faced by the company.
Mohadi took the decision after Zanu PF Masvingo Provincial Chairman Ezra Chadzamira in his address during the launch of Zanu PF campaign programme at Tshovani Stadium on Sunday indicated that Tongaat Hulett workers need job security after continuos acquisition of their employer`s plantations.
"I was earlier briefed that there are challenges being faced by Tongaat Hulett and I informed our officials to summon the Chief Executive Officer of the company to my office this coming Wednesday so that he can tell me all the challenges they are facing here. As government we managed to address the issue of housing for their employees as we unveiled 700 hectares to them through council and they will use this land to build houses for their employees" said Mohadi.
While addressing the rally Chadzamira said it was worrying that Tongaat Hulett workers no longer have job security and the company is strategic to the development of Masvingo. He said government should put to an end some of the challenges being faced by Tongaat.
"We have many challenges among them being Tongaat Hulett workers who need job security since some of their employer`s sugarcane plantations were given to new farmers. Since you are here VP you have to address some of the issues so that they can be solved" said Chadzamira.
