    Tongogara RDC opening 5 new clinics


    SHURUGWI - Tongogara Rural District Council in Shurugwi is opening up five new clinics in the district as construction work on all of them is either complete or 92% to go.
    The clinics were built by the Council in conjunction with different partners including Unki Mine, Tongogara Community Ownership, Senator Simbarashe Mumbengegwi and the Chinese Embassy.
    Tongogara RDC Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Brian Rufasha confirmed the development and said that it was likely that the first clinic would be officially opened on May 28, 2018.
    The news came out of the Tongogara's full Council meeting held at its offices recently.
    The clinics that are coming on stream are Gamwa found in Ward 4 which was built by the council at an estimated cost of $50 000, Batanai Clinic in Ward 2 built by the Council in partnership with Tongogara Community Ownership Trust at an estimated cost of $75 000, Ruchanyu Clinic in Ward  20 which was built by Council in partnership with Unki Mine at an estimated cost of $120 000.
    The others are Jobolinko Clinic in Ward 3 built by the Council at an estimated cost of $100 000, Totonga Clinic in Ward  17 which was built by Senator Simbarashe Mbengegwi in partnership with the Chinese Embassy at an estimated cost $110 000.
    "What remains is for the clinics to be commissioned as all work is completed except for a few touch-ups," said Rufasha.
