    Marufu quits Shabani

ZVISHAVANE –Elias Marufu who served as Shabani FC chairman from 2016 has stepped down and handed over to Jimmy Mhloro who will lead an interim executive until elections are held.
Marufu announced the decision to quit together with his vice Joseph Zimuto and Secretary Jonathan Ruhukwa on Monday barely a month after he vowed to stay put despite calls by the supporters for him to step down.
He denied that they stepped down due to friction that had reached a crescendo as the team is struggling to attract sponsorship.
Mhloro said he is ready for the new challenge and urged the Bvaru Bvaru community to rally behind him for the good of the club.
