CHIREDZI – Former Chiredzi District Administrator Clara Muzenda who is now heading Chimanimani District is facing eviction from a Government house she stayed in before her transfer to Chimanimani in November 2016.
The application for her eviction has been made by the Public Works Department at the Chiredzi Magistrates Court.
Muzenda has kept her property at the low density house rendering the current District Administrator Lovemore Chisema homeless.
Chisema confirmed the development but declined to give details as the case is now before the courts. He however said he is currently squatting in a room at the DA's complex which is difficult to live in with his family.
"I can confirm that there was a court application made against former Chiredzi DA but I don't know the details. The fact is I am still squatting somewhere since her property is still in the house a year after she was transferred," said Chisema.
The Mirror is reliably informed that the applicant in the case which is Public Works was granted an eviction order but the Messenger of Court is still waiting for payments to execute the order.
