    369 nurses, midwives, health technicians graduate at Gweru Hospital

    GWERU- A total of 369 nursing students have graduated from Gweru General Hospital School of Nursing. The three categories of students who graduated with diplomas are under general health care, midwifery and environmental heath technicians.
    The guest of honour was the Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr David Parirenyatwa.
    Out of the 369 graduates, 213 graduates were registered general nurses, 90 midwives and 66 environmental health technicians.
    The graduates were combined groups of 2012 up to 2016 and the event ran under the theme; a voice to lead in achieving the SDGS.
    Jesca Mafiosi, a nursing student was the overall national silver medalist and beside the overall medal she got two trophies; tutor in charge's trophy in best research project and tutor's trophy best student hospital final exams.
    Chenai Nyanagaira the best student who was also the nation's gold medalist walked away with six individual awards as best student post natal, highest marks State final exams, overall best labour ward assessment student, best student labour ward assessment, best student antenatal care assessment and overall best antenatal care assessment.
    The nursing school teacher in charge Mudarikiri said that the pass rate of the school has been at 100 percent since 2014.
