    Robbers hit Triangle

CHIREDZI – A group of armed robbers suspected to be numbering seven hit two places in Triangle last week and got away with $1 300 from Mufakose High School. They also injured a security guard at Zuva Filling Station after failing to get keys to the safe.
Efforts to get a comment from the Police were futile but a reliable source said the robbers smashed open the strong room using dynamite two weeks ago and got away with the money.
"We lost $1300 to robbers who came during the middle of the night. They opened the safe using dynamite and took away the money. They gained entry into the school by cutting the fence and they used the same to exit" said the source.
The same group of 7 robbers had earlier on visited Zuva Filling Station at around 11pm. They demanded keys from Munashe Magwenzi a security guard who was manning the premises. After failing to get the keys they used iron bars to assault Magwenzi leaving him with a fractured hand and leg.
"An armed group of 7 people who were wearing masks pounced on Zuva Filling Station when our guard was on duty. They demanded keys to the premises but he told them that he didn't have. Four of them started assaulting him using iron bars and they only stopped after hearing that someone in the building was calling Police. They ran away in the direction of Mufakose High School leaving our guard with his hand and leg seriously fractured" said Samuel Maruma a supervisor with Rednek Security.
