    Marsmery Bus operator dies


    BIKITA - Prominent Bikita-born businessman and owner of Marsmery buses Munyaradzi James Murunziri has died. He was 47.
    Murunziri who operated the famous Marsmery Buses that ply many routes including Johannersburg-Mutare, Johannesburg-Chipinge, Johannersburg- Gokwe and Johannersburg- Malawi died at Gweru General Hospital on Saturday.
    His wife Nyaradzo Murunziri confirmed the death.
    Murunziri was based in Johannesburg South Africa.
    "It's a big loss to the family. We are left with a gap, for he was like a father figure to everyone, warmhearted and caring," she said.
    One of the relatives and former worker Emmanuel Garapi popularly known as Chahototo said that the industry is in deep pain.
    "No-one is going to fill the shoes left by him, he was a unifier and always put other people`s concerns into consideratio.
    "We are waiting for the buses to arrive with his employees and friends to pay our last respects and salute our hero in a special way." said Garapi.
    Murunziri was born in Bikita in 1970.
    He started his businesses in 1992 and moved to South Africa where he was based up to the time of his death.
    He was laid to rest at Nyahunda Area, Gwatirera Farm  198, in Bikita. He is survived by his wife Nyaradzo and two children, Nyasha and Memory.
