    Chiundura cop ‘rapes’ suspect on way to Police Station


    MIDLANDS – Christopher Dube (63) employed as a policeman at Muchakata Police Post in Chiundura has appeared before the Court facing charges of raping a woman suspect he was taking to the charge office.
    The incident allegedly happened on June 22, 2017 and is being heard by Magistrate Morgan Nemadire.
    It is the State case that on March 29, 2017 at Maguma Business Centre accused person arrested Rose Antony (20) who was found in possession of a stolen cell phone belonging to one Mrs Muroro.
    Along the way to Muchakata Police Post and in a bushy area near Masvori Secondary School, the accused allegedly threatened to send the complainant to jail if she did not obey his instructions.
    He allegedly told the complainant to lie on her back, sat on her legs, pulled her skirt and removed her pant before raping her once.
    The complainant screamed thereby abruptly stopping the rape. The complainant left her pant on the ground and they continued on their way to the Police station.
    Upon arrival the complainant told Constable Kasirai who was on duty that she had been sexually abused by the accused. On March 30, 2017 complainant's grey pant was found on the scene and is to be used as exhibit in court.
