MASVINGO – Gokomere High School retained the Bishop's Trophy at the inter-Catholic Secondary Scools Games held at the same school recently.
The school collected eight gold and three silver medals.
St Antony came second with three gold, two silver and one bronze while Mukaro was third with one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
This year's edition of the games was run under the theme: "Promoting Familyhood and Love Through Sports".
Reverend Father Vincent Muzenda who represented the Education Secretary said that the competitions were a huge success and impressive as they were conducted in a brotherly manner.
Director of ceremonies Albert Marima added that Gokomere is now sysnomous with the Bishop's trophy as they have dominated the competitions for a long time.
The Inter-Catholic games are held on a round robin basis and last year the tourney was held at Mukaro High School in Gutu.sport news
