CHIVI - Alfonse Chimombe, who was the internal auditor for Chivi Rural District Council has died.
The sad news was confirmed by Tariro Matavire the council's chief executive officer.
"Chimombe died on Thursday at Chitungwiza Hospital after a short illness that ended up in kidney failure," said Matavire.
Chimombe was 48.
He was laid to rest at his homestead in Wedza last Monday.
Chimombe joined Chivi RDC in 2012 as an internal auditor, having worked for Chitungwiza Municipality in the same capacity and Zishavane Town Council as the secretary.
He is survived by his wife, four children, two boys and two girls.
