    Buhera cop in court for stealing chickens


    BUHERA – Obey Murozvi (28), a member of the Zimbabwe Republic Police Special Constabulary is appearing before Magistrate Dennis Mangosi facing allegations of stealing road runners from the AFM Church at Murambinda Growth Point.
    His alleged forays into the church yard were exposed after he had a misunderstanding with his wife.
    Murozvi of Chipwanyira Village under Chief Nyashanu in Buhera allegedly stole six road runners. Between January 1 and February 15 this year, Murozvi went to AFM church at Murambinda Growth Point and stole the chickens on different occasions. The chickens belonged to Bornwell Manyame.
    Murozvi's wife, Fungai Bvirindi reported the matter to Manyame after she had some misunderstandings with her husband.
    The value of the stock is $50 and nothing was recovered. Murozvi denied the allegations and the matter was remanded to Friday May 26 2017.
