SHURUGWI – A 17-year-old girl recently won a Nissan Sylphy worth US$5 000 during a recent lucky draw at Pote Supermarket in Shurugwi.
The winner Blessed Majaha had bought groceries worth $100 only.
The Supermarket also gave away T-shirts, pots and mattresses during the draw.
For one to enter the competition and qualify for the car, one had to buy groceries worth US$5. There were instant prizes for customers who bought Pote flour, rice, chickens and grocery in large amounts.
Pote Holdings General Manager Tamson Mtombeni thanked Shurugwi residents for the support they gave to the supermarket which was opened recently.
"Thank you people of Shurugwi for accepting Pote Holdings through this supermarket and hardware which we opened last year. Pote Holdings will continue ploughing back to the Shurugwi community and all other communities in which our businesses are domiciled", said Mtombeni.
Shurugwi residents praised Pote for bringing affordable prices to the small mining town.
"We are happy with Pote Supermarkets. They brought us affordable prices, the food is very fresh and of high quality besides being cheap," said Vongai Moyo.
