JERERA – The Principal of Pecom Academy, a private college at Jerera Growth Point in Zaka has died.
John Marandure (45) from Zinuka Village under Chief Ndanga collapsed at his Jerera home on Independence Day and his wife Evelyn Masomere has confirmed the sad news.
"My husband collapsed at home and was confirmed dead upon arrival at Jerera Hospital. He started taking BP medication in 2015 but we never thought he would die like that because he was very fit. As a nurse I could have assisted him, but it was so sudden," said Masomere.
Marandure was laid to rest at Jerera Cemetery on Thursday last week where tens of mourners gathered to pay their last respects to the veteran educationist.
Zorodzai Madzvamuse sister to the deceased said they lost a pillar in the family, a friend and father.

He taught at various schools including Chitonhora Secondary in Zaka and he resigned from the Ministry of Education in 2008 and joined Pecom Academy in.
