    Government starts building Jeka-Tandavarai Bridge

MBERENGWA – The Government has started building a temporary bridge at the Jeka-Tandavarai Bridge along the Danga-Sandawana road that was swept away by floods caused by Cyclone Dineo last month.
The bridge links Mberengwa North, South and West constituencies. Its unavailability has caused major negative impact on business trade, education, health to the locals as the service providers of these services have been demarcated by the mighty Mwanezi River with no access due to unavailability of the bridge.
"The government is doing whatever it can to assist flood victims and the rehabilitation of roads infrastructure is a key priority.  Our engineers have started constructing a temporary bridge to break lose the current transport barrier while construction of the main bridge will then follow as it needs an overhaul," said the Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Joram Gumbo.
