CHIVI – Anxious parents of Farai Maisiri (16) are looking for their son who went missing on the closing day of schools on April 6, 2016.
Farai is a form four pupil at Chibi High School in Chivi. His father Mayengehama Maisiri who is also a teacher at Chibi High School confirmed to The Mirror the story of his missing son and said the matter was reported to the Police.
The boy was last seen in the company of a friend whom he was escorting to the bus stop.
The father is a teacher at the same school and the family is from Magombedze Village under Chief Chitsa in Gutu.
"My son went missing on Thursday after schools had closed for the holiday and we reported the matter to Chivi Police Station on Friday who gave us permission to put posters on trees and notice boards to appeal to those who could have seen him to assist," said Maisiri.
ZRP Masvingo spokesman Assistant Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said the case was not yet on his desk.
Maisiri said his son was last seen at Chivi turn off two weeks ago.
"We heard about the missing boy but the best person to talk to is the district schools inspector," said Chibi High head Bonface Machingauta when contacted for a comment.
