CHIREDZI - The recently opened Simrac Wholesalers in Chiredzi is making inroads into the market as its customer base is steadily increasing.
Speaking in an interview with The Mirror, Simrac acting manager Evans Muchirahondo said that they opened the branch in order to provide goods to the community at affordable prices.
"We saw that people in Chiredzi are being deprived of certain commodities because of high prices thus we decided to open this branch to give the local community affordable prices," said Muchirahondo.
Simrac offers a whole range of goods including groceries, stationery, toiletries and sanitary goods.
"Our customers are of great value and therefore given the monetary problems the country is facing we allow them to pay through Ecocash, bankcards and we offer 50% cash back for every purchase. There are few businesses with such a generous cash back offer," said Muchirahondo.
Like any other business, Muchirahondo said that sales were affected by the 'January diseases' and they hope sales would normalises in March when the Tongaat Hullett mills in Hippo Valley and Triangle open.
He urged customers to come and see the affordable prices for themselves.
The branch is situated at 733 Msasa Drive close to the old rank.
