CHIKOMBA - Chikomba Rural District Council has suspended two more employees on allegations of illegally selling residential stands.
Moses Chikwature and Shepherd Maseka were suspended on Friday barely a week after another senior employee, Solomon Taruvinga who was the health executive officer was fired.
Chikomba RDC Chief Executive Officer Luckson Mutara's mobile was not reachable when The Mirror tried to contact him for comment.
Council Chairman Alderman Pardon Mudzimu said he had not received a report on the matter and referred all questions to the CEO.
The Mirror has established that Maseka who was the project officer at the local authority before he was transferred to Sadza Growth Point offices in January this year and Chikwature who is the technician were suspended on allegations of duping the local authority by selling stands and putting the money to personal use.
Allegations are that they failed to produce a receipt book which is alleged to have been used in defrauding the company.
Efforts to get a comment from Chikwature and Maseka were also fruitless.
One source said council must attend to its systems before firing employees because some workers were just victims of a flowed system.
