MASVINGO - The Minister of Industry and Commerce Mike Bimha is set to officially launch the Masvingo Chapter of the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) on March 10 next week at a local hotel.
The interim chairman of the ZNCC Masvingo chapter Andrew Chekani confirmed this to The Mirror. He also said there will be captains of industry from across the country including small to medium enterprises as well as the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs for Masvingo, Shuvai Ben Mahofa.
"The launch will be done by Minister Bimha, there will be businessmen from as far as Zvishavane, Mpandawana, Chiredzi, Nyika, Mwenezi and Jerera as this will be a provincial affair," said Chekani.
He added that the committee which comprises vice chairman Nkulumani Mlambo and Placida Gonese as the administration and finance committee member has managed to secure a state of the art office at Zimbabwe Court and recruitment of the manager to man the office is in progress.
Already the ZNCC is represented in Mutare, Bulawayo, Kwekwe, Harare and Gweru and Masvingo will be the sixth chapter in the country.
The chamber's main objectives are developing, lobbying and promoting business interests on behalf of its members.
