ZVISHAVANE - FC Platinum star midfielder Wellington Kamudyariwa who has made a great impression at all six clubs he has played for is on the radar to join Yadah Stars a move that has been described as a blow to the 'Money-bags' as FC Platinum in affectionately known.
Kamudyariwa joined 'Money bags' after an invitation by the then coach Lloyd Mutasa some two years back and has made great impact at the club evidenced by starting in the first eleven in all games he played.
Kamudyariwa had been invited by Lloyd Mutasa to join Dynamos but was seen in the Yadah Stars training camp and confirmed to The Mirror that he was likely to sign for the new boys for a longer period soon.
"There is no bad blood with neither FC Platinum nor Dynamos but football is all about opportunities and exploring new avenues hence I want to give it a try at Yadah probably that might be a lifetime opportunity that will lift me to the limelight," he said.
The former premier league winner with Gunners, Monomotapa, Chiredzi, Shabani and FC Platinum (among others) is set to undergo a fitness assessment in camp at the end of this week ahead of a possible long-term deal with Yadah Stars.
Yadah Stars coach Jairos Tapera said Kamudyariwa was a free agent and if all modalities are completed there is nothing that can stop him from joining the club together with his former FC Platinum team mate Tarisai Rukanda who has already signed for Yadah Stars for an undisclosed figure.
"It's good to have the boys (Rukanda and Kamudyariwa) aboard. I have worked with the two and I know what they are capable of," said Tapera.
