BUHERA - A woman from Bhegede Village under Chief Chamutsa in Buhera said her baby sometimes refuses to suck her milk and she sometimes sees her mother-in-law and a snake coming to suck the breasts.
Lorain Chihora said this at Buhera Magistrates court where the mother-in-law Eurita Rupiya was seeking protection order against her daughter-n-law. Magistrate Denis Mangosi granted Rupiya the protection order and instructed Chihora and her husband not to visit her mother in-law's homestead, insult or harass her.
Chihora told the court that her child at some point refused to be breastfed and she visited the local clinic where she was told that there was nothing wrong with the child.
She said she also told her husband Chrispen Nejingamire about the matter which was then taken to Chief Chamutsa who advised them to visit a traditional healer.
Chihora said the healer blamed her mother-in law and asked that she (mother-in-law) be brought before the healer but she allegedly refused.
It was then that he mother-in-law sought a protection order from the courts.
