CHIREDZI - Chiredzi Junior MP, Shamiso Kapishe is initiating a schools' club project in a bid to reduce the gap between rural and urban pupils
Kapishe who is the Junior MP for Chiredzi West said the clubs will enhance interaction between students from rural schools and urban schools thereby facilitating the exchange of ideas. In addition the clubs will train students in leadership skills, smartness and cultivate a culture of donating to the needy.
"The aim is to exchange ideas, to build leaders and build a culture of giving to the needy," said Kapishe in an interview.
She however, said the biggest hitch was lack of funding and appealed to well-wishers and the Ministry to come in and support the clubs.
She also suggested that there could be student driven projects and other money generating functions such as talent shows to sustainably fund the projects.
