CHIVI - Chibi High was left richer by its former students who convened at the school on Friday last week and made a donation of an array of goods.
Chibi High Old Students' Association (CHOSA) led by their president, Lovemore Chirove visited their former high school to make some donations on Friday last week.
The school and other Reformed Church institutions benefitted from the donations. Chivi High got 5 000 books and 100 plastic chairs, Dombo Primary School was given ECD books, Morgenster School of Nursing got some books.
Minister of Psycho Motor for Skills and Development Josiah Dunira Hungwe who was the guest of Honour donated 30 boxes of tinned FAVA beans from Egypt and Professor Wiseman Magwa gave 25 copies of his book Tsika Dzavashona for use by A Level students.
"As a member of CHOSA I feel honoured to be called to events like these where former students are donating to their school," said Hungwe.
Also present at the event were CHOSA secretary Mirika Manyati and Pananai Madambi, Principal Director for Psychomotor for Skills and Dvelopment.
Chirove said the association has 300 members.
CHOSA was launched on October 7, 2016 and since then it has been mobilising resources for the school and the surrounding areas.
"Chibi High School has some of the who is who in Zimbabwe as its former students and they include 4 former governors and 3 former Cabinet Ministers like Willard Chiwewe, Shuvai Mahofa, Dzikamai Mavhaire, Witness Mangwende and myself," said Hungwe.
Chibi head Bornface Machingauta expressed great appreciation for the donations.
