    Former Zanu PF Chairman Chadzamira acquitted

    MASVINGO – Former Zanu PF provincial chairman Ezra Ruvai
    Chadzamira (42) had a double celebration as his suspension
    from the party was lifted and was acquitted of charges of obstructing
    the course of justice recently.
    Although he has not been reinstated on his previous position
    as the chairman he is now an ordinary card carrying member
    who can participate in party activities while on the other hand
    Magistrate Langton Ndokera acquitted him of a charge of stopping
    the messenger of court from evicting illegal settlers in
    Mashava.
    His other accomplices were convicted of the same offence
    and made to pay varying fines.
    On December 2014 Chadzamira's co accused Alex Mugova
    (35), Tawanda Ndube (40), Notwell Ruzengwe (58), Aaron
    Muvengwa (30) and Edmond Chikukwa (35) stopped Sylvester
    Ndebele the messenger of court for Masvingo, who had a court
    order, from evicting illegal tenants in Gaths Mine Mashava.
    Chadzamira together with Chikukwa were acquitted while
    Mugova, Ndube and Muvengwa were ordered to pay $100 each
    or to spend 30 days in prison while Ruzengwe got a lesser sentence
    of $50 fine because it was his first offence.
