    Mhari scoops double

    HARARE - Zvishavane based FC Platinum goal minder Petros Mhari was in double celebration at the recently held 2016 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League soccer star of the year awards ceremony at a local hotel in Harare.
    Mhari who was undoubtedly the best keeper during the 2016 season saw his efforts being recognised by being named the goalkeeper of the year and the second runner up for the soccer star of the year.
    In an interview with the mirror on the sidelines of the event Mhari said that he was happy with the recognition and his fans should expect more next year,
    "I am happy, I just won two honors and being recognised like this motivates me and my fans should expect the same stellar performance next year", Mhari said.
    Walter Musona another FC Platinum player who was named among the eleven soccer stars of the year said he was happy and is going to work harder next season.
    "It is always an honor to be nominated as one of the best in the country and at a very young age, the dificult part is now to maintain the standard that has been set, next year I am going to work harder and try to be in the top three," said Musona young brother to Knowledge who plies his trade in the Belgium top league.
    Meanwhile, as celebrations were underway Delta Corporation the Premier League sponsor marketing executive Maxen Karombo announced that they may find it difficult to continue with the six year marriage due to the ongoing relegation saga and suspension of the PSL chairman Peter Dube.
