    Mwenezi’s headman Chibaya dies

    MWENEZI
    -Mwenezi's headman Chibaya, whose real name was Simeon Chibaya, has died. He was 69. Chibaya died at his rural home after being discharged at Neshuro Hospital and was buried last week Friday.
    Fileni Chitanga who is Chief Chitanga confirmed the death and described
    it as a great loss.
    "I can confirm that Headman Chibaya died on Thursday. What we know is that he was not feeling well since last year. We have lost a great pillar of strength that will be difficult to replace. He was like father figure to most of us and has been working with everyone in the district. We will continue to cherish his good work.
    He has left a big vacuum in Mwenezi district ", said chief Chitanga.
    Rabson Chibaya who was brother to the late headman also expressed shock. He said that his brother left behind a wife Hlungwani Chibaya and three children. Chibaya headmanship which is under Chief Chitanga covers parts of Mwenezi North.
    Chief Shindi also attended the funeral. local news
