    - A 14-year-old boy from Makuvaza Village under Chief Gutu committed suicide last week after misunderstandings at home.
Tawanda Magumise who was a grade seven pupil at Gutu Central Primary school was found hanging from a Julbernardia paniculata tree (mutondo) with a scarfskin (gavi) in his neck.
It is said that two days before his death, Magumise was refrained by his mother after he assaulted his young brothers several times for unclear reasons.
"On Friday morning, Tawanda was refrained from beating up his young brothers by his mother and he then repeated the same on Saturday.
"Tawanda then left home going to the hill after he had released the cattle from the kraal," said a source under condition of anonymity.
The father Eria Magumise confirmed the suicide. The boy's mother searched for her son in places where he used to play with other children in the neighbourhood but he was nowhere to be found.
Eria said that the deceased`s little brother Farai directed her mother to the nearby hill where they found Tawanda lying dead.
Tawanda was laid to rest on Sunday afternoon at his parents' homestead.
