Sources have evidence that the petrol bomb was in the form of a two litre container of petrol found at Kabvura's door. In a telephone interview with The Mirror, Samson said that a petrol bomb was thrown on Stella's door resulting in a raging fire burning her body and property.
"At around 12 midnight a petrol bomb was thrown at Stella's door. The fire blazed into her room and when she woke up the whole room was in flames.
"She managed to unlock the door and ran through the fire but she was left with serious body injuries. She was rushed to Chivhu General Hospital then to Parirenyatwa Hospital where she died," he said.
One source who spoke on condition of anonymity told The Mirror that Stella spoke to a number of people before she died and blamed her husband's second wife for her misfortunes.
